I absolutely love this guy! I was first introduced to Hans Rosling a couple years back in my final year of Uni, when we studied infographics. I saw one of his TED’s videos showcasing his software http://www.gapminder.org/ (I highly recommend you guys check it out, it’s just mind blowingly awesome!). Not only was the data and software interesting, Han’s presented in such a fascinating way.
So when a friend told me his got a new video up, I just had to check it out! I’ll leave the video to do the talking…
I thought the whole video was awesome, but one of my favourite parts (as with his original video) was when he showed that, buy breaking out a separate point for Shanghai and Guizhou, one can see just how much of a gap there is between one country. Shanghai is as rich and healthy as Italy, while Guizhou is at the level of Pakistan.
Did you guys enjoy it and what did you take out of it?
Wow! This post is becoming much more popular than I expected, and I got a few people asking me if I can share some more videos from Hans.
This is one of his first videos, much longer at 20 mins, but I enjoyed every minute.
Han’s Rosling on global population growth.
