Some Tips to Cut ATM Fees

atm

If any of you use ATM‘s, I mean cmon, who doesn’t? Follow these tips below to save yourself some money!

  1. This one might be obvious, but use your own bank’s ATM whenever possible. Most other banks will charge you a fee to use your bank on their machines.
  2. If your bank’s ATM is down or offline when your trying to use it, always note the time and place and call your bank the next day to report it. Your bank should give you back the money you had to pay to use another bank’s machine.
  3. Use your debt card at the grocery or discount store and get cash back. Most stores these days let you get extra money, usually a max of about $50. This tactic makes more sense tan paying $2 to withdraw $50 from an ATM.
  4. When you have to withdraw money at the ATM, try to think ahead and get enough so you dont have to be back on it a day later. Limit your visits to one day a week.
