STEP 9: THE POWER OF THE MASTER MIND: THE DRIVING FORCE
The Master Mind is the coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more persons, to achieve an ultimate goal. You will have economic advantages if you surround yourself with the advice and personal cooperation of a group of persons who are wholeheartedly wiling to lend you assistance in a spirit of perfect harmony. But there is also a psychic benefit to developing and maintaining a Master Mind group. “No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.”
The human mind is a form of energy, a part of which is spiritual in nature. When the minds of two persons coordinate in a spirit of harmony, the spiritual parts of each mind form the powerful psychic advantage of the Master Mind.
Andrew Carnegie had a Master Mind group of approximately 50 men who shared the ultimate goal of manufacturing and marketing steel. He attributed his entire fortune to the power he accumulated through this Master Mind.
STEP 10: THE MYSTERY OF SEX TRANSMUTATION: HARNESSING SEXUAL ENERGY
Sexual contact is man’s most powerful desire. It drives men to tap into their deepest reserves of imagination, courage, will power, and persistence. Many men freely risk life and reputation to indulge this powerful desire. If harnessed, sexual desire can redirect all of its powerful attributes toward any pursuit, including the accumulation of riches.
The desire for sex is natural and should not be ignored or eliminated. But it should be given other creative outlets of expression through the mind, body, and spirit. Men who achieved great success and fortunes were motivated by sexual attraction to someone.
This was discovered by reading the biographies and histories of great personalities for more than 2,000 years. Sexual attraction is an irresistible force that must be acted upon in some way. If this powerful impulse is harnessed and channeled to help you toward your ultimate goal, you will be elevated to the level of a genius because your mind will use that awesome power to create plans you could never have imagined without it.
The sexual impulse is to take action. Destroy the sex gland in man or beast and you take away the fight in them. A bull becomes as docile as a cow after it has been castrated.
Creative thinking, intense desire, and intellectual excitement all respond to the following 10 types of stimuli, listed in the order of importance:
- Sexual attraction
- Love
- Burning desire for fame, power, or money
- Music
- Friendship
- Master Mind
- Shared suffering
- Auto-suggestion
- Fear
- Alcohol or narcotics
When the brain is stimulated by one of these 10 stimulants, your mind is lifted above the plane of ordinary thoughts and able to see the problem from new perspectives. Then your elevated mind is freed to go into action, seeking the new ideas that can be called genius.
When an inspired idea flashes into the mind, it comes from one of the following sources:
- Infinite intelligence
- The subconscious mind
- Another person’s shared conscious thought
- Another person’s subconscious mind
Great artists, writers, and musicians become great because they developed the habit of relying upon the quiet little voices that speak to them, their creative imagination. People with strong powers of imagination get their best ideas through hunches.
There is a great speaker who, when he approaches the climax of his speeches, closes his eyes and begins to rely entirely upon his creative imagination. When asked why he closed his eyes, he replied, “I do it because then I speak through ideas which come to me from within.” One of America’s most successful financiers developed a habit of closing his eyes for 2 or 3 minutes before making a decision. When asked why he did this, he said, “With my eyes closed, I am able to draw upon a source of superior intelligence.”
Dr. Elmer Gates, a genius of a scientist, created more than 200 useful inventions by cultivating and using his creative imagination. In his laboratory, he had a “personal communication room.” The small room was nearly soundproof with a button to shut out all the light. There was a small desk with a pad of writing paper. When Dr. Gates wanted to draw upon his creative imagination, he went into the room, sat himself at the table, shut off the lights, and concentrated on the known factors about an invention, and waited for ideas to flash into his mind about the unknown parts of the invention. Once, ideas came to him so quickly and abundantly that he wrote for nearly three hours! When the thoughts finally stopped flowing, he examined his notes and found he had a detailed description of scientific principles previously unknown to the world.
The rational mind is faulty because it mostly relies on one’s store of past experiences. Not all knowledge one acquires through experiences is accurate. Ideas received through the creative imagination are more reliable because they are not adversely affected by one’s past experiences. The difference between the hack inventor and a genius inventor such as Dr. Elmer Gates or Thomas Edison is that the hack inventor never uses his creative imagination. The genius inventor uses both the rational mind and the creative imagination by following this formula:
1. Stimulate the mind so that it is operating on a higher plane.
2. Concentrate on the parts of the invention that are established. Then switch your focus to the unknown factors. Keep your conscious mind on the unknown factors until your subconscious mind takes over. Then clear your mind of all thoughts and wait for the answer to flash into your mind.
Depending on how well you have developed your creative imagination, the results may be definite and immediate or take much longer. Edison tried more than 10,000 different combinations of ideas before he perfected his incandescent light bulb. His experience was similar when he invented the “talking machine.”
History is filled with great leaders whose achievements were directly influenced by the women who stimulated their sexual desire. When Napoleon Bonaparte was inspired by his first wife, Josephine, he was invincible. When his rational mind convinced him to take a different wife, he began to decline in power. His defeat soon followed. There are many famous American men who climbed to great heights under the stimulating influence of their wives, only to drop back down to obscurity almost as soon as they left their old wives for new ones.
Some famous Americans known to have had highly sexed natures include:
- George Washington
Napoleon Bonaparte
William Shakespeare
Abraham Lincoln
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Robert Burns
Thomas Jefferson
Woodrow Wilson
Andrew Jackson
Sexual energy is the creative energy behind all geniuses. “There never has been, and never will be a great leader, builder, or artist lacking in this driving force of sex.” This does not mean that all highly sexed persons are geniuses. Merely possessing this energy is not sufficient to produce a genius. The desire for sexual contact must be transmuted into a different form of desire and action to lift one to the status of a genius. Instead of lifting themselves, most people lower themselves by misusing this great force.
